What Cm3 prequalification is
Cm3 is an Australian contractor management platform. Clients invite their contractors to join and complete a prequalification assessment based on their type of work and its risks. Cm3's assessors review your answers and evidence and check whether you've assessed the risks of your work, hold the right competencies, and use tools, plant and equipment that are fit for purpose. Depending on the client, assessments can also cover environment, Chain of Responsibility for heavy vehicles, and ethical sourcing or modern slavery.
Evidence that helps you pass
- A documented WHS management system and safety policy
- SWMS and risk assessments for the work you'll actually do for that client
- Certificates of currency for your insurances
- Licences, tickets and training records for your workers
- Plant inspection and maintenance records
- Incident reporting and corrective action records
Cm3 says it doesn't push clients or contractors into a predetermined management system, so your documents don't need to match a template. They need to be real, current and consistent with how you work.
Common reasons submissions get sent back
- Generic SWMS that don't match the scope you'll do for that client
- Expired insurance certificates or tickets
- Policies with no evidence they're used, such as no toolbox talk or inspection records
- Missing plant documentation
Other platforms work the same way
Avetta, Rapid Global and similar platforms ask for much the same evidence. Build your safety documents properly once, and each new platform becomes an upload job.
Procura builds WHS systems and SWMS from how your crew actually works, as part of your tender documents. Procura is independent and not affiliated with Cm3.
